Other Adoptables:[link]
~GoldenDragon93 and I are very concerned that these designs that we spend so much time on will be left to rot in your galleries. And to combat this problem we are going to make the adopting process longer and more reliable, so we are sure our dragons will get a good home.
As of now, you will have anywhere from one to two weeks to draw the dragon with color, a background, a personality, and a history. We want to know you will actually use the character, and by forcing you to put more thought into it, you are more likely to reuse the character. So, dragons are no longer first come first serve.
And after the one to two weeks allowed to draw your picture and give the dragon a background, either ~GoldenDragon93 or ~DingoMutt will choose who gets the character.
Thank you for reading and look forward to the next set of adoptables, which should be up by the end of the week.
Contest Theme?
Wow, another tie! Okay I geuss we're doing both, so everybody wins. Each contest will be judged seperatley so we will have a first place winner for the Artistic Vision and a winner for Habitat and so on.
Judges
Prizes
1st place: Colored picture of any of your characters with a background
2nd place: Colored picture of any of your characters
3rd place: Sketch of any of your characters
*We will accept volunteers to help with prizes*
Artistic Vision
1. Long, slender, small, 4 wings, earthy colors, rough skin/scales, and a barbed tail.
2. Long, deep chested, dorsal stripe, pure color, soft smooth fur and scales, and a split tail.
3. Short, bulky, dark colors, large wings, several horns, several eyes, and a short tail.
Pick a description and try to draw what the description says it would look like. Later we will judge it to see who was the most accurate and how creative they were with it. Don't make it exactly like the description, try to add things it doesn't mention. Maybe make one look more like another animal.
Rules
1. You must use one of the descriptions we created, not one of your own.
2. Don't steal any ideas from other entries
3. No lineart unless you made it yourself
4. Everyone can enter up to 2 pieces of art
5. Tell us which description you're using
Habitat
You can pick any habitat in the world that you can think of and draw what you think a dragon would look like in that habitat. A few ideas are grassland, desert, forest, jungle/rainforest, arctic, ocean, canyon, mounains etc. Or if you want to be more bizarre, draw your dragon in a habitat from another planet like Mars or the moon, you could also create your own habitat. You will have to draw a background, it doesn't have to be colored in but you will get more points if you do color it. Also the more detail you put in it the more likely you are to win.
Rules
1. You must draw a background
2. Give some information on how your dragon may live in it's habitat(ex. if your dragon lives in the arctic it will have thick fur instead of scales)
3. If you create your own habitat, or use a different planets habitat instead, you must give a description of that habitat.
4. Tell us what habitat you are using
5. Your dragon must be similar to its habitat
6. Don't steal any ideas from other entries
7. No lineart unless you made it yourself
8. Everyone can enter up to 2 pieces of art
*Deadline
There is no current deadline right now, we will most likely end the contest when everybody has entered what they wanted to.
